Dr.ª Geraldine Poenou
Doctor of Medicin - Department of Vascular Medicine - CHU de Saint-Étienne
After completing her training in clinical chemistry and hemostasis biology, Dr Geraldine POENOU was trained in vascular medicine both training at Paris Descartes University . Parallel to her medical training, she obtained the 1st a PhD degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Doctoral School of Physiology, Physiopathology, and Therapeutics at Sorbonne University. Dr POENOU finished a one-year fellowship in Netherlands, as part of her PhD project on the Assembly of the molecular machinery of coagulation: learning from the adaptive evolution of snake venom Factor X. Her main research field aims to determine the parameters involved in the failure of anticoagulant in venous thromboembolic events. She is currently working at St Etienne Hospital in Vascular medecine and she is a member of the french Investigation Network on Venous thomboembolism.

Joffrey Feriel is an expert in hematology and coagulation.
Trained as a clinical pathologist, he has a unique experience gained working for academic hospitals and a global leader in the in vitro diagnostics industry – Stago.
This diverse exposure gave him a clear understanding of the different aspects of medical laboratory practice in this field. He regularly collaborates with researchers and international institutions, including several document development committees of the CLSI (Clinical laboratory and Standards Institute).
Finally, he is the author of two books ; the latest one is a practical book on the interpretation of the complete blood count that offers a concise description of the different stages of hematological diagnosis, from finding a CBC abnormality to reaching a final diagnosis.
